The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was constituted on 01 July 2015 through the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP). IQAC is to maintain a series of activities with Dhaka International University (DIU), University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) which commits to ensure the practice of improving quality culture, demonstrate responsibility and to bridge the different stakeholders: existing students, alumni, academic and non-academic staffs and employer of this university. The quality assurance areas covered by IQAC are based on governance, curriculum content design and review, student admission, progress and achievements, physical facilities, teaching-learning and assessment, student support services, staff and facilities, research and extension, as well as process management and continuous improvement.

During the IQAC project  tenure (01 July 2015 – 30 June 2018), departments of CSE (Computer Science & Engineering), EEE (Electrical and Electronic Engineering), Law, Business Administration, Pharmacy, English and Sociology went under the external peer review with a great success.

Currently, IQAC copes with eleven (11) entities namely CSE, EEE, Law, Business Administration, Pharmacy, English, Sociology, Civil Engineering, Economics, Political Science and Microbiology. Apart from quality activities, IQAC organizes international conferences, lecture series, seminars and workshops, skill development programs for academic and non-academic staffs, faculty-student exchange programs in country and abroad. It also publishes conference proceedings and IQAC activity report in annually.

Presently, CSE, EEE, Law, Business Administration, Pharmacy and Civil Engineering departments have already submitted their Intend to Apply for Accreditation at Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC). Soon other departments will also submit their intend to apply for BAC Accreditation.

To develop excellence in QA areas of DIU by keeping sustainable intervention and innovation.

Mission:

* To enhance quality in teaching-learning and assessment as well as         
    to foster a continuous observance on accountability, transparency 
    and feedback practices in all components of educational framework  
    well linked with accreditation.
 
* Maintain transformation of knowledge and innovation in research 
    accordance with global settings for stakeholders of the university.

Objectives:

The overall objective of IQAC is to ensure quality assurance benchmark in all 
QA areas of university. The specific objectives are to:
* Conceive the quality assurance (QA) culture of the university with   
 following national and global practices.
* Build up and improve quality of education in teaching-learning and 
  assessments through QA practices.
* Maintain the icon of the university by ensuring participation, 
  accountability, consistency, transparency and feedback practices by all 
  stakeholders.
* Organize skill development training, workshop and seminar for all 
      stakeholders of the university and the society.
* Transform knowledge and innovation in research with national and 
     global collaboration as well as linkage. 
* Meet the University for accomplishing cyclic external peer reviews and 
     Accreditation in nationally and globally.
